Supporting The Wheels For Jake Fundraiser
We recently had the pleasure of supporting the Wheels for Jake Fundraiser – a charity that is raising money for 6-year-old local Adelaide boy Jake Webber, who suffers from Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, Polymicrogyria, Epilepsy, Cortical Dysplaysia amongst a number of other diagnoses.
Against all his medical challenges, Jake is a full-of-life 6-year-old who loves to adventure and explore with the rest of his family but as he grows bigger getting Jake in and out of the family van is becoming more and more challenging.
To help Jake keep living an active life and to assist his parents in being able to get him in and out of his van, Kookaburra Homes donated $10,000 directly to the Wheels for Jake Fundraiser to assist the family in purchasing a brand-new Kia Carnival and converting their new car into a wheelchair accessible vehicle, which will cost over $45,000.
We are so thankful to have been introduced to the incredible Webber family and to be able to do something that will make such a difference in their lives. Thank you, Karina, Sienna and Jake for allowing us to be part of your special day
